With family and friends staying indoors and frontline workers outside their homes, the threat of Covid-19 is omnipresent. Today, most of our conversations weave around Coronavirus. Most families have witnessed adverse circumstances that they never imagined in their lives. This led to conversations on concerns and learning’s during the shutdown. Covid-19 has changed the world, as we have known most of our lives. Our lives as it use to be are not sustainable for our planet. ‘While the earth heals . . . ’ is a testimony of this uncertain time and a stark reminder of our vulnerability and strength.

“Government should find a vaccine fast, otherwise the whole world would be in danger”, says fourteen-year-old Krishiv Tivary with serious concern. He feels that without vaccine, there will be more deaths and catastrophe in the world. Krishiv studies in
Class 9.

His family came from Dubai four years ago and settled in Kolkata. Since then he lost touch with his friends in Dubai. As a young teenager, Krishiv loves playing online games and has re-connected with his Dubai friends through chat and games. “I maintain physical distance but I am socially more connected now”, says Krishiv with a smile. When not engaged in studies, Krishiv loves to watch National Geographic documentaries.
